Jan, Feb & March 2010 - Finally!

I'm sorry it has taken me so long to put up any new pictures. I've been so busy and have been working on a few projects to boot. I went back through ALL my digital pictures and picked out which ones I wanted to upload into a digital picture frame. That was no easy undertaking - I have taken thousands of pictures of my boys. I also went back and scanned all the old photos of when my brother and I were babies/kids and put those in there too. I'm still waiting for some pictures of Mark when he was little to add those too. I hope hoping that some of his family will be able to find some. I'm sure my boys would love to have copies of those when they get older.
So anyway, here are a bunch of pics of the boys and a few other things. Someday I'll figure out how to get the pictures up here in the correct order. For now, the most recent pictures are first.
The boys were sick practically from Christmas through the middle of February and just finished another cold. When they've been feeling good, we've been spending lots of time at the park. The weather is so beautiful right now. They are talking all the time and repeating things that we say. This is the cutest they have ever been. So far, "terrible" is not part of our "two" vocabulary. Enjoy the pics.

I've been able to get a little bit of crafting in of late. These are a couple little Easter boxes that I've made. I borrowed the idea from another blog that I follow. Aren't they cute?!

Here's some more. I got the owl idea from Zee on Nick Jr.

We went to the Ostr*ich Festiv*al this past weekned. Here's Colvin watching the Ostri*ch races.

Nolan and Mark. I hope that camel doesn't spit on them.

The boys got to check out a petting zoo too. Here's Nolan trying to set the sheep free.

I think Nolan almost lost his hat. One of the goats tried to eat the stroller too.

Colvin

I think he liked the goats. I'm not surprised. They seem to like every animal they have met so far.

Colvin was feeding them the wood chips from off the floor.

Here's a card that I made for my mom and also one for my good friend, Mona. I used a technique that I learned at my friend Diana's class. I wanted to thank Mom for all the wonderful help she gives me with the boys. I also wanted to thank Mona for a lovely day we spent at a rubber stamp fair. She gave me some stamps that I'm anxious to put to use. It feels good to get my fingers inky again after such a long break.

Here's a pic of Nolan from a weekend day when Mark and I took the boys around to a couple of the neighborhood parks.

Colvin has suddenly started wanting to wear a hat this past week. He finds them and puts them on himself. They are usually backwards or off to the side like this.

He's chewing on a stick he found. What a little country bumpkin.

Colvin likes to put his blocks together.

Nolan still loves to look at books, although his favorite thing to do now is take off his socks - and his brother's too.

Colvin and his hats.

The had their first trip to the dentist. Colvin did very well and was very interested in all the equipment. Nolan was not too trilled about the whole experience. Their teeth look good though.

We always take the wagon to the park.

That was a suprisingly good leg and ab workout.

Playing in the sand - not too sure if they like how it feels.

Feeding themselves on their own plates with their own forks. Such big boys.

We have had tons of rain so far this year - more than all of last year put together.

I took the boys out to my brother, Tyler's, house one day. We went out to a mining camp for a train ride and lunch.

Here's my dad and my brother with the boys on the train. It was just a little train ride that lasted about 15 minutes.

Now my mom is in the shot too.

Here's Ty and Colvin on Ty's patio.

Mimi and the boys on Ty's swing. The boys had a great time exploring around Ty's backyard. I wouldn't be able to let them do that now that it's getting warmer because Ty lives out in the desert at the base of the Superst*ition Mountains and there is a good chance there could be rattlesnakes in the yard.

There's Colvin with the view of the mountain from Ty's backyard.

Chillin'

Colvin filling the dog bowl with gravel.

back to the train

My mom and dad came over for cupcakes on the boys' birthday. I can't believe that they are two years old. At their doc appt, Nolan outweighed Colvin by 10 pounds.

a new way to bowl - watch out below!

Colvin decided that Mark would like to have his cupcake. I can already see how his wedding is going to go. Poor girl.

Yum!

Nolan is fascinated by ant hills. He likes to stick his finger in them.

Maybe he wants to play tennis.

Little climbers.

Colvin always has to have his hands full of stuff.

Colvin worked and worked at it until he figured out how to fasten that buckle. Who needs a playground when you've got a buckle?!

Stomping on an ant hill. This if before he realized that he prefers to stick his fingers in them. Notice that Colvin has his hands full of stuff - he even brought his toothbrush to the park.

They love to explore and check everything out.

So strong!

This is one of the marinas at Can*yon Lake after a huge flood. I'm glad one of those isn't my boat.

I had wanted to drive up to an area that sometimes has a great waterfall when we get tons of rain, but that was up on Fish Creek Hill. We couldn't get past Tortil*la Flats because of the flood.

Are you as glad as I am that this post if finished? Whew!

I am so glad you are taking time to enjoy your hobby again - I am so thankful I met you at that craft fair & that you introduced me to stamping! TOTALLY has opened so many doors for me :) Thank you a million times over! I had fun at both the stamp show & at your house visiting you and the boys! They are so sweet & full of life - even when they are not feeling their best they are still a treat to hang around! :) Thank you so much for sharing all these wonderful photos of your life!
