Today is day two of having the house painted and day two of the boys spending the entire day with Mimi and Grandpa. I miss them and kind of feel displaced without them around. At the same time - it's kind of nice to have a couple days "off". The walls are looking great. The boys will be so surprised when they get to actually run around and play. Last night we just brought them home in time to go to bed. I think they did pretty good at Grandma and Grandpa's house but I'm sure my parents are really really tired. Maybe I'll have the house put back together enough that they can still be here while the painters finish tomorrow.

Catch Up
Well, I've been a slacker lately. Today I decided to play catchup since the painters are here and the boys are spending the day at my parents' house. It will be interesting to see how that goes since they haven't spent that much time over there since they've become so mobile. They are such busy little guys. They are in to everything and climbing on anything and everything. Colvin is repeating more and more words that we say. He watches our lips to try to figure out how to say the words. I'm always sneaking up on them and saying Boo so now that is his new thing to say. It's so much cuter when he says it. Nolan is finally saying ball and yesterday I'm sure he said Bye Bye when I left for the store. They both wave goodbye by opening and closing their fingers. It's so cute. Well, enjoy the pictures. I'll try to do better about taking pictures and getting them posted.

I'm so bad. I've totally fallen off the blog wagon. Even now - can't put two thoughts together, let alone worry about sentence constructions and building a paragraph. So here I go with some random whatevers...
The other day I was letting Nolan air out. Colvin walked up behind him and squeezed both of his cheeks. Nolan has also been walking around with a bucket on his head alot. Both boys think that they have to climb on everything. They dump out the big bins full of toys so that they can stand on the bins. Tonight Colvin fell off backwards and knocked a big chunk of drywall off the wall. Fortunately he didn't really seem to be hurt. Nolan is finally starting to say some words like ball. Mostly he just babbles alot - in paragraphs with nice sentence structure. At least that's what I'm guessing. Oh, what else? Hmmm. Well, this was a meager attempt at putting something on the blog. I'll try to do better next time. It's pathetic but I haven't even really had the camera out much lately. What have I been doing? I think I better go to bed now.

Happy 4th of July
Well, wouldn't you know it, I forgot to take my camera with me this morning. We went over to my brother's house that is empty and for sale. He's got a lovely pool so we took the boys for a swim. It was fabulous. They really do seem to like the water very much. My mom was floating Colvin around on his back and he seemed like he was about to fall asleep. He also likes to bite the water. Nolan had lots of fun splashing around with his daddy. That's about the extent of our exciting 4th of July day.

Buzz, Buzz, Buzz
Not much has been going on around here - as usual. I've just been noticing some cute things about the boys. They are both doing high-fives now. They love it. Colvin smacks your hand pretty hard. Nolan just puts his hand up and barely pats your palm. At this point in their lives, that kind of sums up their little personalities to a tee. Nolan likes to stand and spin around until he gets dizzy and falls down. It cracks him up. Colvin likes to say meow to the cat, although it sounds more like "mow" - like cow, but mow. They are both wanting to climb on anything and everything. Yesterday I found them up on top of a desk. This morning I gave them each their first home-haircuts. Or buzzes. Mark gave himself one to match. It's very cute, although I think I like Nolan's hair better a little longer. Yesterday the boys had a little play-date with their friends John (two and a half) and James (7 months). John must have felt like my boys were a little tornado moving through his playroom. I've been walking in the evening with their mom, Amber. It feels great to be out getting some exercise. My dear mom came over and sat with the boys while I went for one of my new attitude drives. Sometimes a girl just has to get out in the desert and get her wheels dusty. It was great. All I did was drive up to Apache Lake to sit in the restaurant up there and read, but it was just what I needed. Last night Mark let me get out and go to a movie with Lora. These little bits away sure do make you glad to get away and even more glad to get back and give those precious boys a big hug. Yesterday they got to hang out with their grandpa while I ran a couple errands. Well, here's a couple pics of the new do's. They weren't letting me get any great shots, but you get the idea. I hope you all have a great 4th of July. I'm sure it will be pretty quiet around here.
