Howling
I had to share something cute. The last few nights before bedtime we have been having, as a family, a yelling fest. We all pose and scream our little brains out. That may seem strange but the boys think it's so fun. Nolan does a kind of bodybuilder muscle squeeze while he yells and Colvin just stands there and squeals. Nolan's voice is so deep and Colvin's is much higher pitched. Tonight I decided to start howling too. Colvin stuck up his little chin and howled like he'd been doing it all his life. He was a little pro. I will have to see if I can get a video of them.
18 months
Can you believe that the boys are 18 months old already? My mom and I took them for their shots today. Colvin was pretty good; he's had lots of practice in doctors' offices. :( Nolan decided to demonstrate that he's getting closer and closer to 2 years old. Maybe he was just hungry or tired. I did have to wake them up early from their naps and it was past lunch time. Colvin did something so cute that I haven't seen him do before. Nolan was shredding the paper on top of the exam table and Colvin picked up each piece and carried it to the trash can and threw them all away. He also started building with his mega blocks today instead of just destroying. Colvin was 25.5 pounds and Nolan was 30.5 pounds. I don't think they got an accurate measurement of their lengths since the boys were being so squirmy. I'll have to recheck that later. Colvin was in the 50th percentile for everything and Nolan was in the 90+ percentile. Here's a few pics that my parents took yesterday while they watched the boys so that Mark and I could go to a movie. Thanks Mom and Dad!!!

Some more pics...
Well, I think the boys are finally feeling better after a week of having nasty colds. They've been in the other room playing in the tunnels under their big fort. They are so cute together, wrestling and talking (babbling) to each other. They are saying so many more words now. They turned 18 months old on Sunday. Colvin pointed to his nose yesterday and said "nose". He'll also point at his ears and his belly button when I ask where they are. Of course he won't do that if I try to show someone else how he can do it. They had a nice week of having Bodie here for a visit while my parents were back in Indiana to say goodbye to a wonderful man, my Uncle Ronnie. He is finally whole and comfortable, walking with God. The boys were mostly gentle with Bodie and called him Baby. It was cute. They even started calling the cat Baby and they will say Baby when they see pictures of themselves. It's just starting to get somewhat bearable in the early morning so we've been going for little strolls in the wagon. The boys love to go for rides.
