Well, we discovered yesterday why Colvin has been in such an atrocious mood for the past week. His first molar has popped through. What's weird is that Nolan has one that is so close to popping through that the gum looks all puffy and white, but he isn't grumpy at all. Anyway, a little Motrin and I've got my sweet and happy little Colvin back - well almost. We had a little visit with Kathi and her boys this morning. It's always fun to see how the boys interact with others and how excited they get about all the new toys at someone else's house. What is interesting is that Colvin, who is normally the much more outgoing baby, is always more timid and shy at Kathi's, whereas Nolan is quite comfortable. Strange. And, for some reason, Colvin is kind of scared of Eli who is a very sweet and gentle boy.
After we left Kathi's house I tried to go out to lunch with Barb from the CPA office where I used to work. I ended up taking my food to go because my little bambinos were too tired and cranky for anyone in the vicinity of our table to enjoy their lunch. I was getting those dirty looks that I used to give moms with cranky babies before The Motherhood. At least I packed up my cranky babies and left.
The only other news from today is that I signed the boys up for a toddler class with Parks and Recreation starting in June. I guess they get to run around like the crazy little babies that they are in a room filled with other crazy little babies. It sounded like so much fun that I just couldn't resist. I did manage to resist the baby art class on account of I don't have room in the Jeep to take a hose to hose them down after class. I'm also not too comfortable with the idea that they would surely consume any art materials that they didn't manage to smear all over me and themselves. Blue barf isn't something that needs to see the back of my seat in the Jeep.
Well, I've rambled on enough. Who knew I would get so chatty (or is it bloggy) once I got started?! Now that I've tortured you with my ramblings, I don't even have any cute baby pictures with which to reward you. I'll try to do better next time.
